The Historical Metallurgy Society holds archive records relating to its own activities, and the papers of Charles Blick. The Society holds a collection of books donated by members at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum.

The Society has recently acquired the papers and slag reference collection of the late Professor Tylecote, and these are being catalogued.

The Society, with the Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust, manages the National Slag Collection which is housed at Ironbridge.
